We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Tasting Room Manager to join our small team based close to Dorchester, Dorset. The chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and increasing sales.


  • Increase direct sales through tasting room, shows and events
  • Manage tasting room including cash handling and presentation standards
  • Organise and conduct tours
  • Respond to customer enquiries
  • Despatch orders
  • Attend events both on and off the Estate
  • General administration and office support
  • Contribute to social media
  • Trade account maintenance and training


Personal attributes

  • An enthusiastic and outgoing individual who is self-driven and has the ability to use their own initiative
  • Good communication skills essential
  • Organised and efficient with attention to detail
  • Willingness to attend external events and work weekends
  • A demonstrable interest in wine, able to act as a brand ambassador and communicate our passion for English wines and Dorset produce

Required skills/experience

  • Sales and customer service experience
  • Strong people skills enabling good relationships and team working
  • Good levels of numeracy
  • Computer literate with good Microsoft office skills and confident with social media platforms
  • Full, clean UK driving license essential; ability to tow a trailer desirable
  • Experience of working in the wine trade and/or wine-related qualifications would be beneficial

This is a permanent, full-time position (but we would be open to candidates who want to work reduced hours) beginning with a 6 month probationary period. Salary: £22,000 per annum (depending on experience).
