A blend of Chardonnay and Madeleine Angevine, this wine has an attractive pale gold colour. The nose is intense with aromas of grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon posset and fennel with a hint of white pepper. The palate is light and fresh with a lemon driven acidity and the bite of a Granny Smith apple.
A perfect wine for seafood or just on a hot summers day. Ideal with aromatic Thai curry, roasted poultry, and fresh seafood.

Vintage:
2020
Blend:
82% Chardonnay, 18% Madeleine Angevine
Vinification:
The grapes for this wine were picked in October 2020 and gently pressed, whole bunch. Press fractions were carefully separated and left to naturally settle for 24 hours. Fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, took place in a combination of stainless-steel tanks and used oak barrels, followed by complete malolactic fermentation. Following around 9 months of élevage, the final blend was bottled in August 2021, with around 80% of the blend being stainless-steel fermented and around 20% oak fermented.
Tasting Note:
An attractive pale gold colour. The nose is intense with aromas of grapefruit, passionfruit, lemon posset and fennel with a hint of white pepper. The palate is light and fresh with a lemon driven acidity and the bite of a Granny Smith apple. There is a nice salinity here that binds it all together and elevates the long finish. A perfect wine for seafood or just on a hot summers day.
