Becky, Vineyard Manager

Growing up, Becky’s father introduced her to quality wines and ignited a passion for the world of wine. On graduating with a BSc in Viticulture & Oenology in 2017, she began her winemaking journey first at Rathfinny and then Ridgeview in Sussex. After gaining valuable experience with multiple vintages in France’s Beaujolais & Provence regions, Becky returned to the UK in search of a new challenge. This led her to Langham in 2021, with the opportunity to move into the vineyard. Her enthusiasm and knowledge means that she was the natural choice to progress to the vineyard manager role, taking over in May 2025 like a duck to water.
“Langham’s attitude towards creating low intervention, top quality wines drew me to the role here. I especially love the fact that they are bold enough to buck the trend and make totally unique styles of wine. It’s very exciting. knowing how to grow good grapes is essential for making good wine, and we make very good wine here.”
Calum, Head of Sales & Marketing

Calum joined at the start of 2023, having previously managed the wine merchant Tivoli Wines in his hometown of Cheltenham. The roots of his career in the wine trade can be found in Leeds, where after graduating with a degree in Music Production, he worked as a waiter and trainee sommelier and caught the wine bug. After an unexpected three year detour via the world of business software, Calum realised he was happier drinking and talking about wine and landed in wine retail, learning as much as possible about all manner of drinks and how best to pass that self-taught knowledge back on to his customers.
“A string of visits to English wine producers in 2019 was a lightbulb moment for us – we have a scene growing in his country that we should be very proud of and I was convinced I had a role to play in spreading the word. Now I get to sell what I genuinely believe are some of the best sparkling wines in the world to the trade.”
Jean, Assistant Winemaker

“After studying Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in South Africa, I fell into the wine industry because I found it dynamic and a great blend between science and hard physical work. After doing international vintages in Croatia, Mexico, Thailand, South Africa and Romania, I decided to pursue my career in England.
“England is is an exciting period and Langham is at the forefront of their style, providing a great place to grow and learn about low intervention wines, something I am passionate about.”
Mark, Tasting Room Manager

Originally from just outside Toronto, Canada, Mark fell in love with the world of wine while working as a bartender following a career as a competitive swimmer. It wasn’t long before he found himself on this side of the pond heading up the wine experience at Vinopolis in London’s Borough Market. After a stint working in some of Australia’s best restaurants and harvests in New Zealand and Canada, he’s back in the UK and eager to put it all to good use.
Coupling his experience with the trusty WSET Level 4 Diploma, Mark loves to make wine accessible for everyone, relating it all to what people are familiar with. Nothing makes him happier than seeing others become excited and passionate about wine, which is what drew him to the role here at Langham.
“There are so many small but vital things that are done in the minimal intervention style here which make my job of describing the journey from grape to glass that much more interesting. Pairing this with the beautiful backdrop of rural Dorset, it’s the perfect spot to really shake things up in the industry.”
Carl, Assistant Tasting Room Manager

Carl had brief careers in both music and banking before taking a keen interest in wine in 2018, starting his WSET education under a Master of Wine as well as working a season at English Oak Vineyard. Even a 2.75-year detour through Japan didn’t stop him continuing his wine journey, doing his WSET3 in Tokyo, visiting various vineyards across the country, and bottling all of the wine for Mongaku Valley Winery in 2021 in the picturesque north of Hokkaidō. On returning to England, he naturally ended up at Majestic Wine in which he challenged himself to try every bottle in the shop for the year he was there. He didn’t quite manage all of them, but it did mean that he could share stories with customers about all the ones he did try and took great pleasure in then finding the perfect wine for them.
“People often tell me during my tours at Langham that I have the best job in the world. And it’s true – I get to work with such an innovative and inspiring group in the idyllic Dorset countryside and tell our visitors how we do it”.
Georgina, Vineyard Assistant

Georgina has been with us for around 6 years now, after getting into wine purely by chance. She has always had an interest in food growing and worked on organic farms while travelling in Australia and on hops farms in NZ.
Upon her return to the UK in 2018 she wanted to carry on with similar work and wine seemed like an interesting area to explore. She was drawn to Langham after dabbling in the 9-5 office life in advertising at an environmental magazine, but she missed the outdoors and having grown up in the area she knew of Langham Wine Estate. Georgina helped out at harvest 2 years in a row, before being hired as a full-time vineyard assistant in 2019.
Her favourite part about working in the vineyard is “getting to be outside with the vines every day, getting to see the sunrise and sunset and experience all the great British weather has to offer (although there are some days I would disagree with this statement).”
Emma, Tour Guide

Emma is a former BBC journalist who has been taking visitors on guided tour here at Langham for the past 8 years. Emma is at home talking to people and thrives off getting to know her tour groups, tailoring the experience to their interests.
“I love the story behind Langham Wine. Our guided tours attract all kinds of people, from those who’ve travelled the world visiting vineyards, to those who’ve come to one for the first time. Taking them on the journey of how our award winning sparkling wine is made is a privilege and a joy.”

Justin, Director

Justin has always had a passion for wine, and in 2009 decided to make his dream a reality by planting a 30 acre vineyard site at Crawthorne Farm.
Before planting the vineyard, Justin toured many of the world’s most venerable wine regions and studied viticulture at Plumpton College. The combination of these experiences gave Justin the foundations for establishing a world-class wine estate.
Despite having numerous other business commitments, you will often find Justin rolling up his sleeves and helping to load the press or drive the tractor.
Tommy, Head Winemaker

After a season of labelling and bottling wine as a summer job, Tommy developed a love for English wine and left school to work a harvest at Sharpham Vineyard in Devon where he then progressed to Assistant Winemaker. Tommy joined the team here in January 2019 as Assistant Winemaker to focus on producing world class, low-intervention sparkling wines with inspiration from the best grower-producers in Europe. By the end of that year, Tommy had been made Head Winemaker and continues to this day to improve and refine the wines here at Langham.
Anna, Tour Guide
Over her career as a Sales Director for luxury hotels Anna has been lucky enough to eat (and drink) in lots of incredible restaurants, and its here that her lifelong love for wine began. Anna has recently completed the WSET Diploma in Wines and is passionate about exploring wine producing regions, most recently the Mosel, Languedoc and Porto.
“I have always been a huge fan of Langham, so its a complete joy to be able to share my love of our wines alongside the knowledge that I have gained from studying for my Diploma.”
Izzy, Vineyard Apprentice
After a summer working in the vineyard cafe, Izzy joined the vineyard team in December for pruning. She proved a natural whilst braving the cold and has now taken the opportunity to study on a Level 3 Crop Technician (Viticulture) course at Plumpton College and embark on learning the hands on job of working in the vineyard full time.
