FAQs

How can we help?

Can I bring dogs to the estate?

Yes, dogs are more than welcome, although please be aware that it’s a working vineyard and there may be tractors moving around the site. We also ask that you pick up after your dogs.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at the vineyard and may accompany you on tour – however we do like to remind you that this is a 2-hour educational wine tour, so depending on the extent of your child’s burgeoning love for wine, you may wish to do the Self-Guided Tour instead.

Buggies can be brought along, the vineyard ground drains well and is usually fairly solid in the spring & summer.

Do you have space undercover to have our picnic if the weather is bad?

We have a converted barn which has windbreak sides and infrared heaters where you may sit if the weather disappoints. If you have booked in for a picnic – we will ensure that you have the option of sitting undercover.

Can I buy your wines when I visit?

Absolutely, that’s what we’re here for! Our Cellar Door Shop is open during our opening hours for you to take some delicious Dorset Sparkling Wine home with you!

Is there local accommodation nearby?

Please see our Partners Page for places to stay locally.

Can we get a taxi to and from the vineyard?

Please see our Partners Page for local taxi numbers.

Can I book a table in your café?

All reservations for the café are made here on the website, please head to the Café page for more information. Link to café tab

Do I have to book a tour and tasting?

Our guided tours run daily at 2:30pm and are limited to 18 people per tour – these must be booked via the website – see here for more info.

Our Self-Guided Tours are designed for those of you who don’t want to be fixed to a strict schedule. We will have space for 20 people daily between 10:30am and 3pm – see here to book in for your chosen date.

Do I have to pre-order all food?

We do ask that if you are coming for either our Two Course Lunches or Picnics, you pre-book this specific offer to assist with kitchen ordering.

Do I have to book a table? Can I pop in for a drink only?

We strongly recommend booking to avoid disappointment, you may pop by for a drink but at peak lunch times we cannot always guarantee a table.

Do you have disabled access?

The vineyard is usually solid underfoot as it has good drainage and there are no steps on any part of the tour. Do be aware that our Barn has woodchip on the ground.

Can I bring table decorations if I’m coming to celebrate a special occasion?

We do not allow table decorations; our venue is predominantly outdoors – with covered areas – and we do not want to risk decorations blowing away into the environment around us.
