Over two and a half weeks in October, the culmination of a year’s painstaking work came to its finale, as we harvested the grapes that had been lovingly nurtured for the 12 months prior. But that doesn’t at all mean everything comes to a halt – it’s been a busy time since then and we have lots of exciting news to share with you from these autumn and winter months.
Wine GB Wessex Awards at THE PIG
In November, the Langham team went along to the Wine GB Wessex awards in the idyllic autumnal setting of THE PIG in the New Forest. Alongside a whole host of other fantastic wineries across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, THE PIG served up a typically excellent 3-course lunch, accompanied by a selection of the brilliant wines from our contemporaries. The awards ceremony followed, and we were both thrilled and honoured to collect the following top trophies:
- Gold Medal – LANGHAM CORALLIAN CLASSIC NV
- The Wessex Trophy for Best Sparkling Wine – LANGHAM CORALLIAN CLASSIC NV
- The PIG Wessex Wine of the Year – LANGHAM CORALLIAN CLASSIC NV

WineGB West Awards at Trevibban Mill
The following week, the team went along to the WineGB West, which comprises of 90+ vineyards across Scilly, the Channel Islands, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol (the old Avon area), Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. This time it was at the beautiful Trevibban Mill Vineyard near Padstow, again with an exquisite lunch.
We were delighted to scoop the following trophies:
- Best Blanc de Blancs – LANGHAM BLANC DE BLANCS NV
- Best Blanc de Noirs – LANGHAM PINOT NOIR 2019
- Best Producer – LANGHAM WINE ESTATE
- Gold Medals – LANGHAM BLANC DE BLANCS NV & LANGHAM PINOT NOIR 2019

No. 10 Downing Street Visit
Amongst the various awards and celebrations, Justin and head winemaker Tommy took a trip No.10 for The Great Campaign, an organisation setup to celebrate the very best of British producers – from Michelin star chefs to luxury watches – there were a whole host of UK talent on show, even the iconic Gilbert rugby balls were there!
It was a privilege to be in the presence of such pioneering and like-minded British producers and to share products and ideas was a real treat – quite literally in some instances with the fantastic selection of food and drink being showcased. And if you were wondering if Stephen Fry enjoyed our Culver, the answer is a resounding yes! You can find out more about The Great Campaign here.

Online Shopping
We’ve now passed our deadline for national courier deliveries, but our online store is still open for gift vouchers. We do send these out first class free of charge, however we recommend ordering these as soon as you can as the Royal Mail does tend to get clogged up at this time of year. Otherwise, there’s our handy email voucher options, all available here.
